Event Overview

We hear every day about the Fintech revolution that is sweeping through the industry (also RegTech, WealthTech, Blockchain and many other variations on the same theme) but what does this radical change actually mean for the way debt capital markets will function in future? And, for those of us working in established financial institutions rather than dynamic tech start-ups, what do we need to do now to position ourselves for career advantage in this exciting new environment?

Commentators often write about the sector’s need for diversity but, in practice, Fintech remains a male-dominated specialty. What are the barriers to entry to a Fintech-based career for women? Can we repurpose skills that we already have to make the transition? Alternatively, how can we acquire the skills that we need to be part of the revolution?

In the future, most employment will be subject to technologically-driven change, so embracing flexibility and adaptability will be key as we reinvent ourselves throughout our working lives. This IWN event which set out to illuminate the world of Fintech, with a panel of female Fintech experts sharing their own career experiences and knowledge.
